Galaxy UI
A modern, framework-agnostic UI component CLI inspired by shadcn/ui — beautiful, accessible components for React, Vue, Angular, Next.js and Nuxt.js.
What is Galaxy UI?
Galaxy UI is a free, MIT-licensed, framework-agnostic CLI tool for adding beautiful, accessible UI components to your projects. Inspired by shadcn/ui, it supports React, Vue, Angular, Next.js and Nuxt.js from a single source, delivering 41 production-ready components across 8 categories (forms, layout, navigation, overlays, data display, date & time, advanced and bonus components). Components are built on Radix UI primitives, styled with Tailwind CSS variables, support dark mode and a mobile-first responsive design, and are fully WAI-ARIA accessible with strict TypeScript support. Instead of being a locked-in dependency, components are copied into your project so you own and customize them. Setup is one command: npx galaxy-design@latest init, then add components with npx galaxy-design@latest add button input card.
Pros
- Framework-agnostic: one library serves React, Vue, Angular, Next and Nuxt teams
- Quick, consistent CLI: npx galaxy-design@latest init && add
- Accessible and themeable (Tailwind CSS variables, dark mode built in)
- Components are copied to your repo — fully customizable, no lock-in
- Free and open source (MIT) with live examples for every framework
Cons
- Not an AI tool — it is a developer component library and CLI
- Requires Tailwind CSS setup in your project
- Smaller ecosystem than shadcn/ui — fewer community extensions
- Newer project, so API and component set evolve quickly
