What is TopoExport?
TopoExport is a French web application that turns open geospatial datasets (including France's IGN and global OpenStreetMap) into ready-to-use architectural context. Pick any area of interest on the map, choose your layers — buildings, cadastral parcels, roads, railways, waterways, trees and contour lines — and export in a couple of clicks. You get a 2D vector cadastral-style plan with contour lines and/or a 3D topographic relief with 3D buildings, in standard formats: DXF, SVG, PDF and JPEG for 2D, and OBJ, STL and BIM-ready IFC for 3D, which import directly into AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and Blender. It uses reliable DTMs with optimized contour lines, supports areas up to 50 km², worldwide OSM trees, and higher detail such as LoD2 rooftops where available, and is moving toward on-demand HD LiDAR digital twins with individual trees and buildings. A free tier covers small sites, with paid options for larger areas and precision, used by 100k+ architects, urban planners, landscape designers, engineers, students and local authorities each month.
